Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) is excited about your interest in attending the university for the fall 2007 semester. We want to provide you with all of the information you need to be successful in your new life here at Memorial University. Please read this e-mail message carefully and e-mail us back with any questions or concerns you may have:
A) You must arrange for a place to live before arriving at Memorial University. The Housing website (http://www.munhousing.ca) provides information on on-campus housing and off-campus housing. If you wish to live on-campus you should apply immediately through the Housing website. If you have any further questions concerning housing please e-mail us immediately.
B) If you are neither a Canadian Citizen, nor a permanent resident of Canada, then you will likely require a Student Visa. If you are unsure about the process for attaining a Student Visa, you can view this website for more information:
http://www.livelearnandsucceed.gc.ca/LLSHome.aspx?LLSAction=DetermineEntry
C) You should become familiar with the Memorial Self-Service website, which can be accessed by clicking on the link “Memorial Self-Service” from the main university webpage at http://www.mun.ca. Through Memorial Self-Service you can check the status of your application, register for your courses, view your timetable, pay your fees and also update your mailing address.
You will need two pieces of information to log on to this webpage:
1. Your Student Number
2. Your Personal Identification Number or PIN.
Your student number is the 9 digit number on all of the documentation we send to you. You will also find it in the subject line of this e-mail. Your PIN is your year of birth followed by the day of the month of your birth (YYYYDD). For example, if you were born on September 15, 1986 your PIN is 198615. Your PIN must always be 6 digits long.
D) The Academic Advising Centre helps students plan their education here at Memorial University. There is information available at www.mun.ca/advice on important issues regarding:

我之所以不喜欢Memorial的原因是,
那地方太偏僻了啊….在大西洋上的岛诶Orz
